Theoretical Physicist and a major founder of the Elementary Particle Standard Model

If we were to name the greatest physicists of our time, he must be on the list. Stephen Hawking wrote his great book A Brief History of Time with inspirations from him. He, together with Sheldon Lee Glashow and Abdus Salam, won the Nobel Prize in Physics in 1979 for their contributions to the theory of the unified weak and electromagnetic interactions between elementary particles. He was the most recognized contributor to inflation theory which explores the early moments of the universe. From things as micro as particles to those as macro as the universe, he spent his entire scientific life dealing with some of the most complicated issues in physics.
