Snow Tires for Skid Steers - KAGE KLAWZ vs Standard Skid Steer Tires

We put our KAGE KLAWZ snow tires for skid steers up against the standard skid steer dirt tires. This video is a release of a test in Speed, Traction and Control with skid steer tires in the snow. Check out the results for yourself.

In this video, you'll see 3 tests. 1. A pull test to see if the Kage Klawz snow tires have any advantage of standard dirt tires when two John Deere 326E skid steers attempt to pull each other at the same time. This is essentially a tug-o-war between skid steers with the only difference being the tires.

2. The Cloverleaf test challenges the traction and control of the skid steers. You'll see that the Kage Klawz had and significant advantage over traditional tires, especially during the turn.

3. The hog test is for grip and speed. In this test, you'll also see a major advantage with Kage Klawz helping push snow farther and faster uphill vs. standard dirt tires.

Each test is graded on three things important to snow removal contractors.
1. Speed
2. Traction
3. Control

KAGE Klawz are built from a durable semi trailer tire that's been recapped with a Michelin gripper tread specifically designed for improved traction in the snow. The rim has a continuous weld all of the way around for maximum strength and a valve stem guard to protect it from damage.

Kage Klawz come in three sizes. The smallest is the 225. The 245 is the most common tire size. The largest is the 255 which can increase road speed up to 2 mph.
