DECORATED SOCCER BALL COOKIES

Today I'm going to show you how to make perfect Soccer Ball Cookies decorated with royal icing. Use my handy template and tips and tricks to make these World Cup-worthy soccer ball cookies.

The soccer ball design is fairly simple. The pattern consists of hexagons and pentagons. With a handy template, I divided the cookie surface into shaped sections. It is best to use an edible marker to trace outlines onto the cookies.

Then with 20-second consistency black royal icing I pipe the outlines. Following with the same 20-second consistency I flooded all the pentagons.

Sharp corners of geometrical shapes really make this design pop. And so it important that you take your time with a needle tool and accentuate the corners of pentagons, as well as hexagons.

After you ice all the pentagons let the design crust for 20 minutes and then continue icing the hexagons with white 20 second consistency royal icing.
