Vilhelm Bromander: Just Intonation vs Equal Temperament

Vilhelm Bromander is deeply entwined in the European experimental and free jazz scene. He moved to Berlin to study and indulge Just Intonation and to deep dive in beating, multiphonics, overpressure, just intonation intervals, the pitch-rhythm continuum, difference tones and microtonal modulation.
He has also worked a lot with solo double bass - where he directs his focus to acoustic details such as beating, common partials and difference tones – to hear what happens with our perception when we allow ourselves to be immersed in sound for a longer stretch of time.
