It follows the life of Robinson, a man whose world collapses when he loses his job at Agora, the company he gave ten years of his life to. His marriage fails, his child is taken away, and depression slowly takes over. Just when everything seems finished, Robinson hears about a secret hidden deep inside the Black Sea that could change his fate forever.
The story takes us into the dangerous depths of the Black Sea, where during World War II a German U-boat sank while carrying 80 million Reichsmark worth of gold. This gold was part of a tense political deal between Germany and Russia in 1941, a deal that failed and later led to massive destruction and millions of deaths. The war ended, but the gold never resurfaced, remaining untouched in the dark silence of the ocean.
Robinson gathers a mixed crew of English and Russian experts, a damaged old submarine, limited oxygen, and a risky plan to recover the lost treasure. As the submarine descends deeper into the sea, fear, mistrust, and greed begin to grow among the crew. A dangerous psychopath, hidden agendas, secret government conspiracies, and the threat of the Russian navy turn the mission into a fight for survival.
