Accurascale TPE Mk5a Low Cost DIY Coach Lighting Upgrade

In my review of Accurascales excellent MK5 coaches I expressed my dissaopointment at both the trailer car directional lighting and the overall coach lighting across all 5 cars. The latter was a particular frustration so I've decided to something about it. This video will cover a low cost, low effort and fully reversible modification to each of the five cars that should go a long way to improving this aspect of these models.

What you will need to perform the upgrade:

- 5V LED Strip with a colour temperature in the 5K to 6K range (cold white) (~£12)

- 2.2KOhm 5% ¼ Watt Resistors (x5) (~£3):

- Soldering iron with some solder

- Approx 12" of 24-26 AWG wire that is flexible and easy to work with. single core wire wrap wire would be fine to use.
- Wire cutters to cut the wire and resistor legs to the desired lengths and strip back the insulation on the wire.
- Sellotape and scissors.
- Heatshrink material for the resistor
- Small philips head screwdriver to remove the two screws retaining the main PCB.
- Optional - plastic glue to fix any underbody parts that may have come off in removing the bodies
