Launching Energy Access Explorer: Mizoram

After successful launches in Jharkhand, Assam and Nagaland, WRI India launched Energy Access Explorer (EAE) for the state of Mizoram on September 25, 2024. EAE is the world’s first digital public good designed to advance climate-friendly energy access and support sustainable energy transitions. It is an interactive online platform that offers geospatial analysis of multiple datasets including energy distribution, demographics, environment, and energy demand indicators such as education, healthcare, livelihoods, and more. Policymakers in Mizoram can use the EAE platform to support decision-making for resource planning activities.

Honorable speakers at the event delivered insights on the importance of geospatial data for the development of Mizoram and how energy can serve as a driver for the state’s progress. The launch also featured a demo of the EAE platform, exploring its datasets and running test analyses.
