This is my first time working with Panjshir Emerald. I have worked with emeralds from Colombian and Zambia before. Working with Panjshir one is a new learning experience.
Emeralds from Afghanistan come from the Panshir Valley high up in the Hindu-Kush Mountain range in the northeast of the country. Records of mining in Afghanistan dating back over 7,000 years include Pliny's description of the area as a source for green gems, presumably Emeralds.
We send this emerald to American Gemological Lab, it turned out this piece is oil-free. It means, there is no clarity enhancement done to this natural gem.
We worked with the client‘s preference, and have the emerald set in a three stone style. The side stone are two matching pear shape white diamonds total weight 0.4ct.
The band is build in platinum with 18k yellow gold for the center stone.
