Underwater Paradise. Best planted set up for Cherry Shrimp. Nano Aquascape (12 inch)

Hi, I’m Tushar Dasgupta, this is my new nano Aquascape. I’m using Black lava stone and Christmas moss for the main theme of this set up. This set up is mainly for my Bloody Mary red cherry shrimps. There is a lot of surface area in the small holes and textures in lava rock which will provide housing to micro flora and fauna in my set up. This micro flora and micro fauna are the main food source for baby shrimps. And I’m using Christmas moss that will help in hiding my baby shrimps. I used Scarlet Badis as the center piece fish. I got one male and 2 females. They don’t mind staying with my shrimps. They don’t even touch my shrimp babies. The Badis love to explore the crevices and holes, small gaps in between the hardscape.
Most of us think that it is a very expensive and time taking hobby which is not true at all. You can always go slow and use less plants, use woods rocks and sand from your nearby locations. You don’t have to pay for big stones big filter, lights, and expensive plants on the day1. Go slow, if you still think that you want to use what every other professional Aquascapers are using then go small use smaller tanks smaller layouts.
