Mercedes Gas Bus Adventure on 2031ST. Join me for a journey on Route 375 from Randwick to Eastgardens on 2031ST, a Mercedes Benz OC500LE with a Custom Coaches CB60 Evo II body. 2031ST will be withdrawn in the near future along with all remaining gas buses as they are using very inefficient technology while better diesel and electric models enter the market. The gas buses are being restricted to fewer depots as the gas refueling stations are being ripped up to make way for electric charging stations and more room for diesel buses. From the perspective of a bus enthusiast, these buses will be missed as they sound excellent with loud ZF gearboxes and noisy gas engines (most of them anyway, not 1975ST 🤮). Bus drivers will not be too disappointed as these buses are very slow, and they struggle on hills as they are significantly heavier than their diesel counterparts, even if it’s the same bus body. ​⁠​⁠‪@therealgeneralaladeen‬ you better enjoy this one…
