This video tutorial shows Solus 3 Budgie Desktop installation on Oracle VirtualBox step by step. This tutorial is also helpful to install Solus 3 Budgie on physical computer or laptop hardware. We also install Guest Additions on Solus 3 for better performance and usability features: Automatic Resizing Guest Display, Shared Folder, Seamless Mode and Shared Clipboard, Improved Performance and Drag and Drop.

2- Start Solus 3 Budgie Desktop Installation
3- Install VirtualBox Guest Additions on Solus 3
4- Test Guest Additions Features: Automatic Resizing Guest Display and Shared Clipboard

Solus 3 Budgie Desktop New Features and Improvements
Solus is a Linux distribution built from scratch. It uses a forked version of the PiSi package manager, maintained as "eopkg" within Solus, and a custom desktop environment called "Budgie", developed in-house. This new major version of Solus 3 is now based on the latest stable branch of the Linux kernel, 4.12.7. This switch enables various hardware improvements for the latest AMD, Intel, and NVIDIA hardware. Users of the existing Linux-LTS kernel will continue to receive updates indefinitely.

Solus 3 Budgie Desktop Minimum System Requirements
A blank DVD or a 2GB+ USB drive
Minimum of 10GB of disk space available
2GB of RAM for an optimal experience
