A face off between spearmen with shields, and swordsman (carrying shields or bucklers).
There were 4 spearmen facing 7 swordsman for most bouts. For the first 2 bouts the spearmen had a single swordsman protecting their flank, but this was removed after it created too much of an advantage to the spears. 11 fights in total, 6 wins for spear, 5 for sword, but with the spearmen always heavily outnumbered.
