Suzanne Vega (Grammy, Peabody and MTV Video Music Award Winner), performs an evening of her classic hits, including LUKA and TOM'S DINER. In addition, she'll sings songs inspired by Nyack's hometown writer Carson McCullers, co-written with Duncan Sheik (composer of Broadway's SPRING AWAKENING). Ms. Vega will also speak about the influence of Carson McCullers on her life and music - and interact with the audience about McCuller's legacy. This concert is co-produced by the Carson McCullers Center for Writers and Musicians, Columbus State University, GA and ArtsRock.
