There a lot of reasons to like the rode wireless pro for documentary filmmaking, especially when compared to the DJI Mic 2. One Reason I bought the The Rode Wireless Pro over the dji mic 2 is because the rode wireless pro supports timecode while the dji mic 2 doesn't support time code. Another reason i chose the rode wireless pro over the dji mic 2 was that the rode wireless pro has a threaded mic jack for a lav mic whereas the dji mic 2 doesn't have a threaded jack. This isn't a deal breaker for many, but on a documentary film set where you are often following talent around and talent can get out range or out of eyesight you might miss someone turning their mics off or even dropping a mic pack and unpluging a lav. The rode wireless pro is the superior and professional choice when compared the dji mic 2.
