Restoration of a beautiful antique WW1 trench lighter

In this video I will show you how to restore an old rusted trench lighter and inlay this lighter with gold and gemstone jewelry. This beautiful rare lighter was sent to me by my friend. The lighter was in very poor condition, covered with rust, oxide and dirt. It is probably a WW1 trench lighter. So this find is probably more than 100 years old. He asked to make a complete restoration of the surface and decorate it with a gold ornament in the form of a cross inlaid with stones. He wants to present the restored and working lighter to his grandfather and make a surprise for him. The restoration process took a lot of time. Everything had to be restored in detail so that the surface was perfect. I thought for a long time how exactly to glue this gold decoration to the lighter, but I found a solution. The result of the restoration was impressive. Everything went well. I myself did not expect such an extremely beautiful result. The lighter became unique and very beautiful.
