#Reußenstein Castle is a castle was built in 1270, located on steep #cliffs high up in the air and has no neighborhood other than the clouds and the moon at night.

In the following 50 years, the castle passed through 11 different owners, including the Dukes of #Württemberg in 1381. Right across from the castle, on a mountain called the #Heimenstein, there is a cave, in which a giant lived a long time ago.

In 1752 the castle was belong to #Bavarian, but in 1806 became the property of the State of #Württemberg.

The origin legend was written by #WilhelmHauff, states that the castle was founded by a giant who had lived in a cave on the opposite side of the valley. Meanwhile the giant intended to build Reußenstein Castle, his foot was stuck in the marshy valley floor, after he pulled out his foot then it created a spring rose from the footprint, which nowadays people called " #Lindachriver ".

The castle about close finished except for one last nail, none of his craftsman dared to hammer in such a height, but, there is the one and only young craftsman from the #Neidlingen valley who dared to hammer in the heighf of castle.

The giant held the young man to the window over the abyss, until he had finished the work. The craftsman was rewarded with riches and with the hand of the master builder's daughter in marriage.
