KINGDOM COLLAPSE on Robbs MetalWorks 2024

Throughout the years I've seen countless bands appear, make their presence felt & often inadvertently disappear; AND, what's ironic is that MANY of these bands were SO damn talented with the potential to become nationally famed acts. But, one of the hard truths about the music 'business' (especially in the 2020's) is that band's cannot ONLY be musically appealing, but must ALSO KNOW how to work the back of the industry to their benefit in arenas to include: social media, online (& conventional) radio, video communication, all around relationship development & networking. And, what I've come to realize is that bands who understand this fundamental truth are those that have the capacity to crossover & become long-term, successful players on a grand scale. (Can you say 'Nothing More'?) One band I've been following for many years that, not only understood this principle, but gladly undertook ALL the hard work, sacrifice & atonement needed to see it come to fruition is OUR very own, Kingdom Collapse! I first met, vocalist/frontman, Jonathan Norris & bassist, Aaron Smith back in 2014 when they were still known as Arisen; but what was quite evident from the VERY beginning was their determined drive to do whatever it took to conquer the SA scene, to impact the national scene & make an everlasting impression in people's lives. I can attest that they have unquestionably succeeded in accomplishing that! AND, what's beautiful here is that I KNOW there are STILL plenty more jubilant stories to come from their musical journey. SO, when the band was back in town from their relentless touring schedule, I took the opportunity to invite them over to the RMW Studio (on August 24th, 2024) to discuss their spectacular journey.
