2-in-1 Sewing machine cover/mat for Brother 1034D Serger

This is an instructional video for a 2-in-1 cover for a Brother 1034D Serger cover. This serves as both a cover and a sewing mat to use under the machine while sewing.

This is not a beginner sewer project.

The materials needed for this project are:
1 yard of cotton material for the outer layer
1 yard of batting. I preferred a foam batting
1 yard of backing material
1/2 yard of coordinating cotton material for the pockets and binding
13"x6" piece of fusible interfacing
Thread to match material
A cutting mat, ruler and rotary cutter - makes things easier
A marking pen - I used a Frixion pen that disappears with heat
Plastic snaps and setting tool (You could use Velcro instead of snaps)
