Dalmore 15 Year Single Malt Scotch Review

Описание к видео Dalmore 15 Year Single Malt Scotch Review

Today we review the second whisky from Dalmore's Principal Collection...the 15 Year. After spending an initial 12 years in American white oak ex-bourbon casks, the whiskey is split into 3 equal parts to be aged in unique sherry wood: namely Amoroso, Apostles, and Matusalem oloroso for another 3 years before being blended back together in an upstanding sherry butt. This distillery is best known for it's 12 point stag emblem that adorns each bottle and is a nod to the Mackenzie Clan, who was granted the emblem in 1263 when the chief of the clan saved King Alexander III from a charging stag.

The nose has a lot of stone fruit present, especially the darker ones like cherries or plums. The palate has a lot of the fruit carrying forward with a light touch tobacco. The finish adds in citrus fruits and some creamy chocolate and even though it's only 80 proof, there is some warmth that comes through. The Dalmore line is not the very cheap, but they have a huge line up that we hope to find more of! Cheers!!
