In this tutorial, you’ll learn how to manage contacts inside your CRM.

We’ll cover four features:
Creating a new contact
Editing an existing contact
Deleting a contact
Creating custom fields


Create a New Contact
To add a new contact:
Go to the main menu and click Contacts.

Select Add Contact.

Enter the contact details such as name, email, phone number, and any other information you want stored. The more information you enter, the easier it is to personalize your communication.

Click Save.

Whenever someone submits a form or survey, LeadShop automatically creates a contact for you — no extra steps needed.

Edit an Existing Contact
To update a contact’s information:
Go to Contacts.

Click on the contact you want to update. This opens their contact card.

Edit the information on the left-hand side. If you need a field that doesn’t exist yet, you can create one using Custom Fields.

Click Save to apply your changes.

Delete a Contact
Before deleting a contact, keep in mind that deleting removes everything linked to that contact, including conversations, notes, opportunities, tasks, appointments, and any active campaigns or workflows.
Deleted contacts can be restored within two months.
To delete:
Navigate to Contacts.

Check the box next to the contact you want to delete and click Delete.

Type the word DELETE to confirm, then click Delete again.

Create New Custom Fields
Custom fields allow you to store additional information that isn’t included by default.
To create a custom field:
Go to Settings, then select Custom Fields.

Click Add Field.

Choose the type of field you want to add, such as text, dropdown, or date.

Enter the field name and any additional details, then click Save.

You now know how to create, edit, and delete contacts, as well as how to create custom fields in LeadShop.
This will help you organize your leads and keep your CRM customized to your business.
