Personal Experience of GI Stasis in Rabbits 😱 |Tips on What To Do

It can be very scary having to go through gut stasis with your bunny. Sometimes it’s out of our control even though we try to prevent it as much as we can. In this video I will give you my experience of Snowball getting gut stasis and how I handled it. Stay tuned for some tips on what to do at the end too.

Simeticone Dosage:

Starter Dose: For 40mg/ml give 1ml
For 20mg/ml give 2ml

After an hour continue with the same dose (1ml) or 2ml for 3 more doses given every hour.

After 4 doses in total, if you’re still not seen by the vet by this point decrease the dosage by half so either 0.5ml for 40mg/ml or 1ml for 20mg/ml and give it every 3-8 hours.
