When Maryland Blue Crabs become peelers, it means they are in the process of growth. They are about to shed their shell and emerge with all new organs and appendages, including limb regeneration if they have lost claws, legs, or swimmers.

In this little educational video, we discuss various telltale signs and interesting facts regarding peelers and soft crabs. They are hands down the best bait for fishing, and soft crabs are one of the finest delicacies in The United States. Plus, we dive in for an underwater look! The underwater footage shows crabs crawling and swimming around each other. They even like to use the camera as a hiding spot!
