Making a Dubstep Drop in Ableton

One of the most requested video topics I get is how to arrange a dubstep drop. While there are so many different elements that can go into making a great drop and every drop varies across a huge range of things from rhythm to sound design and mixing, I wanted to share the drop of my track "Perpetrators" that released a few months ago.

Perpetrators isn't horribly complicated but I feel like it illustrates a lot of simple ideas very clearly, like adding some basics subdivisions to simple grooves, layering some nice background elements under your basses, creating a clear rhythmic pulse using your cymbals and percussion, and exploiting interesting sound design to give your drop a unique texture.
