(21 Oct 2015) Anti-India protests continued in Islamabad on Wednesday after a cricket meeting between representatives from Pakistan and India was disrupted by activists.
The protests in Pakistan were sparked after Shiv Sena, a Hindu extremist party, stormed the BCCI (Board of Control for Cricket in India) office in the Indian city of Mumbai on Monday in an effort to prevent a meeting between Pakistan's Cricket Board chief Shaharyar Khan and Indian BCCI president Shashank Manohar.
Around 50 journalists, lawyers and civil society members staged Wednesday's protest outside the Islamabad Press Club.
They then marched towards the United Nations office in Islamabad and presented a memorandum to officials there.
Similar protests were held elsewhere in the country.
