The Russo Brothers -- from "Community" to "Captain America" & "The Avengers"

With the epic opening of Captain America: Civil War, Joe & Anthony Russo have completed an unlikely journey from directors of lively, rule-breaking independent films and TV series to creative leaders of the defining blockbuster franchise of our era. This unique Conversation considers the brothers’ extraordinary output as skilled producers and directors of comedies, dramas and superhero slugfests alike.

Despite the Russos’ broad and eclectic credits, this session will also seek to explore the defining aspects of the duo’s work that cross media and genres, such as their extraordinary skill with handling large ensemble casts, and their ability to deftly create coherent and consistent (if chaotic) worlds for their characters to run amuck in.
