Plummer Vinson Syndrome is a syndrome affecting the esophagus. It is a rare disorder in which the patient has difficulty in swallowing food. Though it usually causes only partial blockage of the esophagus, it can cause a complete blockage too and has a tendency to become cancerous in the long run.

Plummer Vinson Syndrome consist of a triad of symptoms which is
Iron deficiency anemia
Esophageal webbing
dysphagia


It is commonly associated disorder with iron deficiency anemia and usually the symptoms resolve with the correction of the iron deficiency.
