ব্রুনাই , দক্ষিন পূর্ব এশিয়ার একটি রাজতান্ত্রিক ইসলামি দেশ । দেশটির রাজধানীর নাম বন্দর সেরি বেগাওয়ান । ব্রুনাইয়ের বর্তমান সুলতানের নাম হাসানাল বলকিয়াহ।
ব্রুনাইয়ের আয়াদন বাংলাদেশের চেয়ে অনেক কম, মাত্র ৫ হাজার ৭৬৫ বর্গকিলোমিটার। মুসলিম সংখ্যাগরিষ্ঠ ব্রুনেইয়ের জনসংখ্যা সাড়ে চার লাখের কিছু বেশি। একসময় ব্রিটেনের উপনিবেশ ছিল দেশটি। ১৯৮৪ সালে ব্রুনাই স্বাধীন দেশ হিসেবে আত্মপ্রকাশ করে । জ্বালানি তেল ও গ্যাস রপ্তানি দেশটির অর্থনীতির মূল ভিত্তি।
ব্রুনাইয়ের সুলতান হাসানাল বলকিয়াহর একবার চুল কাটাতে খরচ হয় ২০ হাজার মার্কিন ডলার। যুক্তরাজ্যের লন্ডনে তাঁর প্রিয় একজন নাপিত আছেন। প্রতিবার চুল কাটাতে সেই নাপিতকে ব্যক্তিগত উড়োজাহাজ পাঠিয়ে ব্রুনেইয়ে উড়িয়ে আনা হয়।
