OBDfixes - Kawasaki One Key System

Watch me, actually successfully, match a new Kawasaki One Key System lock barrel to my existing key.


This offering is way more educational than entertaining. Only more, not very. You have been warned. There are no refunds. Precise technical terminology is only randomly scattered throughout this video, the rest is just whatever I said. There is also an obvious spelling mistake. Well, it's obvious now, but it wasn't at the time. D'Oh!



The Kawasaki One Key System matches the Kawasaki Quick Release topbox & side pannier key barrel to the ignition key on late model Versys & Ninja bikes. It's great - one key, hence the name, to open the panniers & start the bike. Simples!.


From the few videos that I've watched it appears other brands use the same style of lock, so setting up a new key/barrel is probably similar.
