Aviation Time Machine (Part 2): A flight in the Cockpit of the Fokker F28 Fellowship!

Buenos días fellow aviation friends, and welcome to the second half of a two-part series flying the good old Fokker F28 Fellowship in 2024! This flight is carried out by Lineas Aereas del Estado (LADE), which is the government-owned state airline of Argentina. LADE flights are operated by aircraft from the Fuerza Aerea Argentina, the Argentine Air Force. This season, LADE operates the Fokker F28 Fellowship on the route from Buenos Aires Aeroparque Jorge Newbery to Bariloche, with short stops at Mar del Plata and Bahía Blanca on the way.

In part 1, we took this flight from Buenos Aires AEP to Bahía Blanca BHI, to visit the Naval Aviation Museum there, before returning back to AEP with the Fokker. This video shows the two flights back to AEP. The aircraft for this flight was TC-52, with manufacturer serial number MSN 11074. Built in 1973 and delivered to the Argentine Air Force in 1975, this airframe is over 50 years old already! Still, it is in great shape and is a real pleasure to fly on.

This time, the flight was a lot fuller with pax, which means that our seats for now were 10E and F. Still not bad at all. Then, the second flight from Mar del Plata to Aeroparque, I stayed on the flight deck to film how the crew operates this aviation legend. Shoutout and a huge thanks to the amazing crew on this flight, as they made our Fokker F28 Fellowship experience the most unforgettable ever!
