The Great Geo Bake Off

Baking is as much a science as it is an art. The ingredients you put in can be varied, conditions such as temperature are changed and as a result reactions occur. The same is true in geology. Metamorphic rocks form due to changes in heat and pressure, and your starting ingredients will help determine what you end up with. Just like any baking, it is possible to over-bake your rocks and soggy bottoms can also be a problem. Welcome to the Great Geo Bake Off!
