Narmada Canal Tumbles Within 24Hrs Of Inauguration, Kutch Farmers Allege Corruption In Construction

In a major embarrasment for the BJP government in Gujarat, a part of the Narmada Canal collapsed within 24 hours of its inuagration. The opposition parties like Congress and the AAP shared the video in which the collapsed part of the canal can be seen, through which water was flowing out in farm fields.

The canal - Kutch Branch Canal (KBC) - was inaugrated on Wednesday. Gujarat Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel himself had tweeted the video of people cheering when the water of Narmada reached Modkuba and Bhujpur Canal in Kutch.
