Celebrating persian new year(Nowruz 1401) in Shiraz, March 2022

Shiraz is the Capital of Fars province was named 'Pars' and 'Persis' . Shiraz became a leading center of the arts and letters, and famous as the city of poets, flowers and rich literature. This city is one of the oldest cities of ancient Iran.
Nowruz also known as the Persian New Year. The first calendars based on Zoroastrian cosmology appeared in the later Achaemenid period (650 to 330 BC). They evolved over the centuries, but month names changed little until now. Jamshid shah, he was the first to celebrate Nowruz as the festival of turning of chilly winter to spring.
This video is filmed in Nowruz 1401(spring in Shiraz) in Hafez tomb, Delgosha garden, one of the historical gardens in Shiraz, Iran near Tomb of Sa’di and it belongs to the pre Islamic era of the Sassanian Empire, and then tomb o f saadi, afif Abad and Eram butanic Garden at last driving throught city center. This year is named as most crowded Nowruz in Shiraz after Covid 19 pandenic in last decades.
