Lighthouses of England, Trevose, Cornwall. 1993 & 1995

I did duty at this Lighthouse in 1993.
I was then posted here in 1995 during the automation of this station.
During the last few years of the final automation of all of our lighthouses and the end of the Lighthouse Keeper, I tried to record as much as possible before it was gone forever. The Keepers on these Lighthouses did one Month on duty followed by one Month free from duty. I only did 3 complete months here before I was moved onto my last Lighthouse at the Lizard for my final year.
In this video you see the nastier side of automation, with the demolition of the beautiful engine room there.
I missed the removal of the engines, but captured the rest. We have no idea what happened to the engines, who they went to, the rest we were told was scrap.
