The player character can harvest wood with their bare hands or with an axe, in which case the wood will be harvested much faster. The interface of the furnace, used for smelting ores and cooking, includes two cells. In the lower cell, you need to place the fuel for the furnace, and in the upper cell - the object to be fired. The anvil is designed to repair weapons, tools and armor for experience points, as well as to apply spells from books and rename various items. It includes three cells: in the first and second you need to place the items to be combined, and in the third - to pick up the finished item. There are other functional blocks in Minecraft, for example, a brewing stand for making potions that give the player character different effects[g].
The player can hunt animals, thus obtaining food and materials to create certain items, or breed them with food for the same purposes: for example, cows can provide skin, milk and beef; chickens - chicken, feathers and eggs; and sheep, raw mutton and wool. A tamed horse can be used to move around the game world faster, while llamas, donkeys, and mules can be used to transport items. Another, peaceful way of getting food is agriculture. To grow various crops such as wheat or potatoes, the player must make a hoe, plow the ground with it, and plant seeds or fruits there. Wheat seeds can be obtained by breaking grass, others can be found in chests located around the world. With the help of a fishing rod, the player can catch fish and other useful items[h].
Moving around the world, the player character may stumble upon various structures: for example, villages with inhabitants or temples with treasures. For emeralds, the player can buy useful items related to their profession from villagers: for example, a bricklayer sells decorative blocks, and a butcher sells cooked meat. With each successful transaction, the villager's trade level increases. Residents with a high level of trade sell more valuable goods[i].
You can also move faster and transport items using the minecart. Minecraft has regular rails and rails of other types: energy rails that speed up the minecart due to the power of the redstone; rails with a sensor that give a redstone signal if a trolley passes over them; activation rails used to activate a specific cart, such as a dynamite cart[j].
