The carnival is over | Giorgio Gobbo | Dead Can Dance acoustic cover

I sat and sang this song just outside the walls of "La Certosa", a sixteenth century's monastery now abandoned and sadly going to wrack and ruin. The place is in the municipality of Vigodarzere, by the river Brenta, North-east of Italy. My rendition of The Carnival is over is a tribute to the inspiring Brendan Perry's voice. The original song is included in the album "Into the Labyrinth" by Dead Can Dance, 1993.

Per cantare questa canzone sono andato presso la Certosa di Vigodarzere, un monastero del '500 semi abbandonato e tristemente lasciato cadere in rovina. Il luogo si trova lungo un'ansa del fiume Brenta, nel nord-est d'Italia. Con questa interpretazione di "The carnival is over" voglio rendere omaggio alla voce di Brendan Perry, un cantante che stimo. Il brano originale è contenuto nell'album "Into the Labyrinth" dei Dead Can Dance, pubblicato nel 1993.
