North Twin, South Twin, Galehead | New Hampshire 48 | Summer Hike | White Mountains

This Hike was completed on 09/02/23. My original plan was to complete this as an out and back but after thinking about the distance and elevation I would be facing I decided it was best to do this hike as an A to B. I dropped my car off at Gale River Trail and got a ride to North Twin Trail to start my route. The weather on this day was beautiful and I was in for a treat at North and South Twin Summit. South Twin has some of the best views I have seen in the whites with a 360 degree open summit. I must have spent 30 minutes at South Twin Summit taking it all in:) The Decent from South Twin to Galehead Hut via TwinWay was not as bad as I had visioned. This was a fairly quick decent and I was on Galehead Summit before I knew it. The way out via Gale River Trail was long but it was so nice with the river along the trail for most of my slow exit. In all, I completed 11.5 miles and 3,800 feet of elevation in 6:07:48. Please like and subscribe and I hope you find this information useful.
