Diagnosis and management of fibromyalgia

Описание к видео Diagnosis and management of fibromyalgia

Fibromyalgia affects 3-5% of the population and is the most common cause of widespread pain. It has high impact on the both the affected individual and society as a whole, yet remains poorly understood by many health workers and other service providers. Recent advances in pain neuroscience have defined many of the mechanisms causing fibromyalgia and allowed for better management. Significant improvement in clinical outcomes is now possible. In this webinar for health professionals, Dr Geoffrey Littlejohn, will review the signs, symptoms, diagnostic criteria, mechanisms and management of this important condition.
Presented by Dr Geoffrey Littlejohn, Professor of Medicine, Monash University.
