About last week’s release party with Machine Cult…
Another edition, another night where the boundaries between artist and audience blurred into one pulse. The room glowed with familiar faces and new ones alike, all moving to the same current, carried by 2:29, Bertram, Beau Wanzer, and Masha Wordpress, who each brought their own shade to the evening’s gleam.

In any ways, I’ve edited together a few of our favourite moments from the evening, a glimpse into the haze for those who were there and those who weren’t.

As the night unfolded as a dialogue between sound and image, some of the visual processes I used included feedback loops tangled with light-responsive oscillators, bursting into signals of harmonised, coloured distortion, and slitscanning, weaving together three distinct video sources: fragments from my favourite music videos, live footage of the audience, and visual experiments created in TouchDesigner. Fragments were reborn, refracted, and reimagined in motion, a kind of dream recycling where every flicker became a pulse in sync with the room.
