ONE OK ROCK - Pierce (Request)

ONE OK ROCK performing “Pierce”~!

Going into this, I didn’t know it would be a ballad – and I was truly not prepared for how much that affected me in the completely opposite way of what ONE OK ROCK’s music usually does for me.

Normally, listening to ONE OK ROCK’s music leaves me feeling happy and energized yet listening to this song – even listening to it now, later – I get the same tingly feeling of being on the verge of crying when the song begins.

The other ballad that I have heard from them, ‘Wherever You Are’, is a beautiful and comfortable song, yet it doesn’t affect me as much as ‘Pierce’. I was truly taken aback by the simplicity of the performance that rendered something so innately humane and beautiful that it left me silenced in that moment where it seemed like more than music.

ONE OK ROCK just reached an entire new level for me.
