Customer from Twickenham got in contact regarding their front door lock that they wanted changed. Nice and easy job me thinks to myself again :)

Got on site and she was complaining also about the door not staying on the latch, had a look at the door, the latch was missing, so I was like, well the latch is missing hence it's not staying shut... Then when trying the mechanism, from the outside or inside the key wouldn't pull back the latch, hence why the latch had been probably taken off by someone else to make the door operate without the need for parts, customer thought they had just lost it at some stage... maybe a "Friday" job for someone, who knows...

After letting them know how the door should work and what was done to it and how we could mend it, the customer decided to have the gearbox replaced so the whole mechanism would work as intended once more. New gearbox from stock, new barrel from stock and a good few adjustments later, everything was working as it should again.

Customer happy... everyone happy... onto the next job.
