Mountain biking content goes through cycles (pun intended)... and lately I’ve felt something shifting.
Over the past couple of videos, I’ve been digging into the OG era of MTB YouTube. The raw footage, the ride banter, the campfires, the post-ride tacos and beers… The stuff that made those early videos feel real. Those two videos were my way of looking back and remembering what pulled so many of us into this sport (and this corner of YouTube) in the first place.
This video takes it a step further and breaks down the full cycle: the discovery phase, the growth, the optimization, the saturation… and why I think we’re heading into a reset.
That idea ties directly into Roots & Ruffage, slowing things down, appreciating where this came from, and getting back to why we ride at all.
