A popular tourist destination for all of New England, York Beach offers Galleries, Restaurants, bowling, the fun o Rama arcade and also home to York's Wild Kingdom Amusement park & Zoo. The most famous is Goldenrod Kisses, making salt water taffy right in the windows for onlookers to watch. The winter brings bitter cold temperatures, snow, and a small permanent population. The summer brings an entirely different look, warm sunny days attract tourists and families from all over the Northeastern United States. Quieter than Hampton Beach to the south, York Beach is an oceanside oasis for families and visitors looking to enjoy a beach just the way the beach is meant to be enjoyed.
