Meghan Markle joins SXSW panel in Austin to discuss women in the media and entertainment industry

The Duchess of Sussex will take part in a panel discussion with Brooke Shields and Katie Couric on women’s representation in entertainment and media.

Meghan and her Archewell Foundation were credited with supporting a report released on Thursday ahead of International Women’s Day, which called on the industry to “more fully develop the characterisation of motherhood”.

The report, titled Rewriting Motherhood: How TV Represents Moms and What We Want To See Next, looked at scripted television programs from 2022 that featured mothers.
