INCIDENT: -
On 25.6.2025 at early morning, a single scooty rider had committed snatching of Mobile Phones in the area of PS PIA, further in the area of PS Mandawli and also in the area of PS Preet Vihar, Delhi. In all the incidents, separate cases were registered and investigation was initiated.
INVESTIGATION: -
In view of the gravity of the offences, a dedicated team from the Anti-Narcotics Squad, East District, consisting of Insp. Arun Kumar, Incharge Anti-Narcotics Squad East, SI Deepak, SI Rahul, SI Sanjeev, ASI Devendra, HC Amit, HC Amit Kasana, HC Lakhan, HC Vivek, HC Devesh, HC Ashok, HC Pradeep, HC Harendra, Ct Kaushal and also staff of PS Ghazipur SI Ajeet Singh, HC Ravinder led by ACP Sh. Pawan Kumar, ACP/OPS East was constituted under my supervision to nab the snatcher. Accordingly, the ANS team initiated sincere efforts and conducted extensive local inquries, examined over 400 CCTV footages for forward and backward trail of the alleged scooty rider/snatcher and successfully identified the whereabouts of scoooty rider. On 6.7.2025, the suspect was nabbed and identified as Salman r/o New Usmanpur Delhi Age 37 years. On his sustained interrogation, he confessed to the offence and disclosed his involvements. His Scooty ENTORK (without number plate) used in the offence and clothes wearing at the time of Snatching were recovered at his instance.
Further interrogation revealed that he had committed various theft/snatching in other places of Delhi and used to give Mobile Phones to receiver Shafi Ahmad @ Teepu r/o New Usmanpur, Delhi. Therefore, Teepu @ Shafi Ahmad was also nabbed who further disclosed that he and “Salman” had sent the various stolen mobile phones through his known “Bhupendra” to Malda, West Bengal by way of Courier as “Bhupendra” works in Courier Company in Noida, UP. Therefore, courier boy “Bhupendra” r/o Gautam Puri Phase-2, Badarpur Delhi was also nabbed who disclosed to get commission on each phone. He further disclosed that he used to send the stolen mobile phones to a person namely “Joy r/o PO Khaschand Pur Sahu PARA, PS Kaliyachak Lokasen, Malda, West Bengal.
As such, the crime is shown to be an organized manner, IOs were directed by undersigned to investigate the case by adding the sections of organized crime. The team of ANS and IO of PS Ghazipur was immediately directed to burst the complete syndicate and move to Malda, West Bengal. On 11.7.2025, team was succeeded to arrest the further receiver who were identified as Md Rehman Sekh R/o Khash chandpar Sao Pada, PS Kaliachak, Distt Malda, West Bengal Age 35 yrs who further disclosed that he used to receive the Courier of Stolen Mobile Phones in Malda, West Bengal and further hand over to one person namely Emarul Kayues for sending the same in Bangladesh. On his instance, 7 stolen Mobile Phones were recovered. Further, Receiver namely Emarul Kayues R/o Gopalpur, Sahbajpur, PS Kaliyachak, Distt Malda, West Bengal. Age 36 yrs was also arrested who further disclosed that he used to illegally smuggle the stolen mobile phones in Bangladesh. On his instance, further 20 stolen mobile phones were recovered. Their transit remand was obtained from the concerned court of Malda, West Bengal.
During further investigation, Gulbahar R/o Jagjit Nagar, New Usmanpur Delhi Age 37 was also bound down as she was found indulge in receiving money in her bank a/c on the pretext of selling/supplying mobile phones. Further investigation is underway to ascertain their involvement in other similar crimes.DETAILS OF ACCUSED PERSONS: -
