Join us for an eye-opening conversation with Jesse Vasquez, a formerly incarcerated individual at San Quentin, as he reflected on the challenges faced by those in a prison system lacking sufficient mental health and rehabilitation programs. In this session, Jesse shared how the absence of emotional and psychological support within the system impacts incarcerated individuals and their long-term outcomes. He also spoke about how he discovered resilience through self-education and personal development in an environment with limited resources. Through his story, we gained valuable insight into the broader systemic issues at play and the critical need for reform in prison support systems to foster personal growth and successful transformation for those incarcerated.
