New Enduro Bike Shakedown at Spirit Mountain! Transition Spire First Impressions - Duluth, MN

Описание к видео New Enduro Bike Shakedown at Spirit Mountain! Transition Spire First Impressions - Duluth, MN

Welcome to the 2024 dirt season in Minnesota! For my first video of the season I have some older footage from the first week I bought my Transition Spire last summer. My initial bike check video of the Transition Spire was in Piedmont, but I actually rode and filmed all day before at Spirit Mountain that day, riding until the bike park closed then heading over to Piedmont because this bike is just so fun to ride in Duluth. This was only my 2nd time on the bike, and I was still getting used to how different this bike was to my trail bike. It was my first bike with Fox Factory Suspension, and it wasn't anywhere near dialed in, lots of adjustments needed to be made to the ergonomics and contact points of the of the bike, and the trails were super blown out from the drought and the bike festival enduro the prior weekend, but the Spire didn't care and felt right at home at the bike park. The Fox Float X2 shock in this footage has an aerated damper with a bunch of air mixed into the suspension oil where it shouldn't be, causing a squishy noise and poor damping performance. This shock has a bad reputation for failing and my shock failed a few weeks later, belching out oil from the damper and reservoir. Fox did replace it with an improved 2024 Factory Float X2 at no cost, so fair play to them for doing the right thing and I will have another video in the future at Spirit Mountain on the new Factory Float X2 shock. This bike is so fun to ride (downhill) and I'm stoked on having a dedicated bike park smasher in the Spire, cannot wait to get back riding this bike!
