Here is a more indepth look at a few peppers I have currently. The dates are listed on the cups. There are a few that say 3/15, if it says this you can assume its plus/minus 3 days (so 3/12-3/18 or so), this may explain the size differences.

I think its important to know just how many weeks of life the plant has had, so in the future I will probably put the specific date rather than rounding to a nearby week.
