Breaking news from Baksa, Assam: All five accused in the mysterious death of Assam’s cultural icon and popular singer Zubeen Garg, including Shyamkanu Mahanta and Siddharth Sharma, have been sent to the newly constructed Baksa District Jail under tight security.

Thousands of Zubeen Garg’s fans gathered outside the jail, demanding justice, and at one point, stones were thrown at the convoy transporting the accused. Baksa District Commissioner Gautam Das inspected the area to ensure law and order.

The Special Investigation Team (SIT), led by the CID, escorted the accused from Rongia to Baksa. This is the first time the modern Baksa district jail is being used to house inmates. The investigation into Zubeen Garg’s death continues while the accused remain in judicial custody.
