Does the Afmat Pencil Sharpener Really Eat Your Pencils?

So, there have been some comments/suggestions that the Afmat electric sharpener eats and destroys pencils faster than traditional sharpeners. I decided to not only test it out by measuring, but also comparing it to other popular sharpeners so you can see for yourself that you really don't lose the lead you think you do.

As always, this is just my opinion/experience with the Afmat, but I still think it is important to bring up, especially because all it takes is using the machine right and you will get a flawless sharpen and waste less in the long run versus using hand-crank or manual sharpeners (in my opinion at least!).
