Firing a Railgun in Simulation!

Firing a Railgun in Simulation! | Modeling a Gauss Cannon | COMSOL (2024) v6.2

I took some inspiration from videos on U.S. Navy weapons and by ElectroBOOM. I have modeled a Railgun in 2D geometry. I have tried to use realistic modeling inputs. Since it is 2D geometry, it ignores effects of fringing fields. Nevertheless, I plan to do a full 3D simulation in one of my future videos.

In this video, you will learn:
1. Use of Magnetic and Electric Fields (mef) Interface
2. Equation based modeling (ODEs)
3. Use of Deformed Geometry
4. Mapped Meshing
5. Force calculation
6. Finding the velocity of the projectile
7. Generating animation
